DIGITAL DRAGON: TECH SUMMER CAMP

Digital Dragon is offering a small scale camp led by professionals in their field (John Balash and Geoff Seelinger) who have extensive experience teaching tech. Our week long camps give students the chance to learn, design, collaborate, create and have a huge dose of fun. In addition to tech adventures, kids will spend time outside for lunch and activities at a nearby park. We are working with Santa Monica Media, Tech, Gaming, Visual Arts/FX/Animation companies to arrange field trips so kids can see creative professionals in their work environment.

Food Fan Club

Posted By Administration, Tuesday, April 22, 2014
Middle school students who are hungry after school are welcome to join us at Food Fan Club at the Main Library on Thursday, April 24, at 4 p.m. for a blind taste test! Those who correctly identify the most foods will win a prize!

This collaboration with the Santa Monica Farmers Market aims to educate tweens and teens about organic, healthy food. While they taste delicious and exotic fresh and dried fruits, as well as veggies, a Farmers Market teacher talks about who grows the food, where it comes from, and its history.

The program is aimed at grades 6-12, and is quick, about 45 minutes long. Ideal for after-school snacking! Hope to see some students from Lincoln there. Food Fan Club takes place in the Children' s Activity Room at the Main Library, 601 Santa Monica Boulevard.

Thanks,
Ivy
